Job summary

Qatar Insurance Company Q.S.P.C (QIC, QIC Group) in Doha is seeking an experienced corporate underwriter to service existing corporate clients across Property, Engineering, Casualty and General Accident lines. You will underwrite risks, determine premiums and coverage in line with guidelines.

The role requires 5–7 years of underwriting experience, an engineering degree, strong negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to assess risks and work with brokers to secure favourable terms.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years experience in handling underwriting of corporate accounts for Property, Engineering, Casualty and General Accident lines.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• Good underwriting technical & marketing skills.
• Good knowledge of Insurance Products & Services.
• Good problem-solving and negotiating skills.
• Excellent communication skill.

Responsibilities

• Servicing existing corporate customers of QIC Group for Property, Engineering, Casualty and General Accident insurance products.
• Underwrite good quality risks within the authority limit specified in the Operations Manual.
• Determine insurance premiums, extent of insurance coverage and other conditions of the insurance contract.
• Assessment of risks and releasing quotations in line with the Company's underwriting guidelines and reinsurance arrangement.
• Negotiate on premium and policy terms with Clients and Insurance Brokers.
