Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer / SME with extensive expertise in Oracle Billing and Revenue Management (BRM), Pricing Design Centre (PDC), Oracle Communications Offline Mediation Controller (OCOMC), and BI Publisher / Oracle Analytics Publisher within telecom environments.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in the development, implementation, configuration, upgrades, and operational support of Oracle BSS platforms across cloud-native production environments. This role requires deep technical knowledge of telecom billing, mediation, pricing, discounting, revenue assurance, reporting, and complex system integrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, configure, and support Oracle BRM 12.x and 15.x solutions in enterprise telecom environments.
- Develop and maintain custom BRM components including Opcodes, MTA applications, and integrations using PCM C and PCM Java.
- Configure and manage key BRM modules including:
- Customer Account Management
- Subscription Management
- Rating & Charging
- Billing & Invoicing
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Taxation and General Ledger (GLID)
- Execute BRM installation, upgrades, patching, and migration activities.
- Perform production support (L2/L3) troubleshooting and root cause analysis for billing, rating, and discounting issues.
- Monitor bill cycle processing and resolve operational challenges impacting billing accuracy.
- Validate rating outcomes, balance impacts, and billing events using SQL and database analysis.
- Configure and manage telecom pricing catalogs, offers, discounts, bundles, and packages.
- Design and implement:
- Charge Offers
- Discount Offers
- Bundle Offers
- Friends & Family (FNF) models
- Closed User Group (CUG) pricing
- Threshold and tier-based charging models
- Zone-based and time-based pricing structures
- Manage pricing object migration, publishing, import/export, and deployment across environments.
- Ensure catalog consistency between PDC, Pipeline Manager, and BRM environments.
- Participate in pricing governance processes, deployment planning, rollback procedures, and production validations.
OCOMC Mediation Systems
- Design, configure, and maintain OCOMC mediation workflows.
- Develop and customize OCOMC cartridges utilizing SDKs and custom libraries.
- Manage end-to-end telecom usage mediation including:
- Voice
- SMS
- Data
- Roaming traffic
- Configure parsing, transformation, enrichment, routing, and validation processes.
- Troubleshoot mediation failures and ensure data integrity between network elements and downstream billing systems.
- Support OCOMC upgrade and migration projects while maintaining service continuity.
BI Publisher & Reporting
- Design and develop operational, financial, and customer reporting solutions using BI Publisher and Oracle Analytics Publisher.
- Create optimized data models, SQL datasets, and report templates.
- Develop and maintain invoice formats using RTF and XLSX templates.
- Configure report scheduling, bursting, and automated distribution processes.
- Ensure report accuracy, completeness, and performance across operational and business reporting environments.
Cloud-Native & DevOps
- Support cloud-native deployments of Oracle BRM, PDC, OCOMC, and BI Publisher.
- Perform Kubernetes and Helm-based application deployments and upgrades.
- Participate in CI/CD processes, release management, and deployment automation.
- Manage version control, branching strategies, and release governance across development, test, and production environments.

- 8-10+ years of hands‑on telecom industry experience.
- Extensive experience working with Oracle BRM 12.x and 15.x environments.
- Proven expertise across development, implementation, upgrades, migrations, and production support.
- Experience supporting large‑scale, mission‑critical telecom billing and mediation platforms.
