Job summary

Parsons in Qatar is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead cost estimation and budgeting for major infrastructure projects. You will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure financial accuracy, contract administration, and compliance across project lifecycles.

The role requires a degree in Quantity Surveying, professional registration, and 14+ years of post-graduate experience, with strong English writing and communication skills to guide estimators and interface with clients.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying from an accredited international university.
• Certified MME Quantity Surveyor and/or registration with MME (Qatar).
• Chartered status with AIQS and/or RICS or as approved by the Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Ensure QS team applies company estimating practices and procedures.
• Provide cost estimates and contract administration services for projects.
• Develop WBS and material takeoffs aligned with design documents.
• Prepare Basis of Estimate (BOE) narratives with methodology and assumptions.
• Review estimates from other providers for compliance and accuracy.
• Evaluate contract changes and assess cost/schedule impacts.
• Prepare and summarize task/subtask estimates with rates and unit costs.
• Define scope/quantities for vendors to ensure competitive pricing.
• Document bids, terms, and cost data for historical reference.
• Provide training to Estimators on cost estimation tools.
