Job summary

Airswift is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector for a 36-month site role in Mesaieed, Qatar. The candidate will perform quality inspections and surveillance across fabrication, assembly, erection, and commissioning activities, ensuring strict adherence to project specifications and ITPs.

Hands-on experience with static and rotating equipment is essential. The role requires strong knowledge of welding, NDT, painting, coating, and inspection criteria, plus familiarity with international

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
10+ years for Degree holders or 15+ years for Diploma holders in a similar role within Oil & Gas.
Experience in GCC projects preferred.
Strong knowledge of welding, NDT, painting, coating, inspection and acceptance criteria for major Oil & Gas projects.
Hands-on inspection/testing of static equipment (pressure vessels, columns, heat exchangers, coalescers, tanks, boilers, heaters, flare packages).
Hands-on inspection/testing of rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, AFCs, mixers, fans, blowers).
Familiarity with international standards and codes (ASME, ASTM, API, AWS, ISO, BS EN, IOGP, Shell DEP, MESC).
Senior Welding Inspector CSWIP 3.2 or AWS-SCWI, Painting Inspector BGAS/NACE Level 2 preferred.
API 510, API 653, API 580, API 936 advantageous.
QA/QC training and QMS Internal Auditor certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform quality inspections and surveillance during fabrication, assembly, erection, installation, testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning.
Ensure compliance with project specs, ITPs and technical requirements.
Verify availability of approved drawings, procedures, qualification records, calibration certificates and inspection documentation.
Monitor equipment receipt and material receiving inspections, storage and preservation.
Surveil on-site and off-site fabrication activities, identify non-conformances and support corrective actions.
Witness inspections, testing, and qualification processes; verify compliance with quality requirements.
Monitor inspection and testing equipment to ensure valid calibration and compliance.
Review quality/construction docs including method statements, JHAs, QCPs and ITPs.
Participate in quality walkthroughs and NCR close-out activities.
Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, third-party inspectors, and construction teams to ensure quality.
