Senior QA/QC Engineer – Oil & Gas Site

Job summary

Airswift seeks a senior QA/QC Lead for on-site oversight of major Oil & Gas projects, including solar. You will review and approve QA/QC documentation and drive compliance across piping, vessels, and equipment.

Candidates must hold a Mechanical Engineering degree, IRCA QMS Lead Auditor, 15+ years’ EPC/Brownfield experience, and relevant certifications (CSWIP 3.1, NACE II, ASNT II). Role based in Dukhan, Qatar.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• IRCA Certified QMS Lead Auditor.
• Minimum 15 years in major Greenfield and Brownfield Oil & Gas projects, including large-scale Solar projects.
• Experience with major EPC/EPCIC contractors and/or end users in QA/QC roles.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC requirements, testing, and acceptance criteria for piping systems, static and rotating equipment.
• Hands-on experience preparing/reviewing Quality Plans, ITPs, QCPs, MARs, Welding/NDT/Heat Treatment/Painting procedures.

Responsibilities

• Review and support approval of QA/QC documentation (QPs, ITPs, QCPs, MARs, welding/NDT/HTP, painting).
• Ensure QA/QC requirements are implemented at construction sites, supplier facilities, and subcontractor works.
• Conduct surveillance and inspections of structural, piping, pipelines, fabrication, erection, testing, surface prep, and painting activities.
• Identify non-conformances, initiate NCRs, and monitor corrective actions to close-out.
• Monitor material test certificates, construction records, material traceability, preservation, and calibration records.
• Coordinate and supervise contractors, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and QA/QC personnel for compliance.
• Participate in quality audits, compliance checks, pre-qualification audits, and QA/QC meetings.
• Monitor quality KPIs, special processes, inspection activities, and personnel performance.
• Support implementation of Quality Surveillance Programs, CMS, ITRs, TIV, FPD, and PQHC programs.
