Job summary

DOPET (Doha Petroleum Construction Co. W.L.L.) – Doha, Qatar is seeking a Planning Manager to lead project planning and control across multiple oil & gas EPIC projects. You will develop schedules, WBS, dashboards, and ensure schedule adherence and cost control.

The role requires 15+ years in Project Controls within oil & gas, strong leadership, and proficiency in Primavera P6. English fluency is required, Arabic is a plus; PMP is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required; Master's degree preferred.
• 15+ years of relevant experience in Project Controls Management within Oil & Gas.
• Experience in EPIC (Engineering, Procurement, Installation & Commissioning) and shutdowns.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and other project management tools.
• PMP certification is an added advantage; English fluency required; Arabic is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage project planning and control activities across multiple projects.
• Monitor project progress, evaluate actual performance against planned targets, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, WBS, progress reports, and performance dashboards.
• Oversee project cost control, budget forecasting, resource planning, and performance monitoring.
• Prepare and review weekly and monthly progress reports, highlighting status, delays, and risks.
• Coordinate with project management, operations, and other departments to ensure timely execution.
• Identify delays, cost overruns, and schedule deviations, recommending recovery plans.
• Manage and supervise the Project Controls team, including resource allocation and staff development.
• Ensure compliance with project quality, HSE requirements, and company policies.
