Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of project executing related experience.
• 6 years in Major Projects within oil and gas or similar environment.
• Experience with National Oil Companies or International Oil Companies is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and monitor integrated project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Consolidate multiple schedules into management-level schedules and ensure schedule integrity.
• Collect, validate, and analyze schedule and cost data; prepare progress reports and forecasts.
• Perform schedule risk analysis and propose mitigation actions to improve delivery.
• Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders; review contractor schedules and reporting.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Planning Specialist to support the successful delivery of major capital projects within a dynamic and fast-paced project environment.

This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, monitoring, and analyzing integrated project schedules and cost-related information across a portfolio of large-scale projects.

The successful candidate will play a key role in schedule planning, performance monitoring, forecasting, project controls, and reporting while collaborating with project leadership teams and key stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Scheduling

• Develop, maintain, and monitor integrated project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Consolidate and integrate multiple project schedules into management-level schedules.
• Ensure schedule integrity, accuracy, and timely updates throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor schedule performance and identify potential risks, delays, and impacts.

Project Controls & Reporting

• Collect, validate, and analyze schedule and cost data from projects across the portfolio.
• Prepare regular progress reports, forecasts, and performance analyses.
• Present schedule and cost performance updates to management and project stakeholders.
• Quantify and assess the impact of project changes on overall project schedules.

Risk & Performance Management

• Conduct schedule risk analysis using Primavera Risk Analysis tools.
• Identify schedule trends, performance gaps, and areas requiring corrective action.
• Develop mitigation strategies and provide recommendations to improve project delivery performance.
• Escalate potential schedule concerns and provide practical solutions to project leadership.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Liaise closely with project teams, business planning teams, and internal departments.
• Facilitate planning workshops, review meetings, and schedule coordination sessions.
• Support the Project Management Team (PMT) with planning, forecasting, and reporting activities.
• Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to resolve planning-related issues.

Contractor Schedule Review

• Review EPC contractor schedules, progress reports, and forecasting submissions.
• Verify progress measurement methodologies and reporting accuracy.
• Evaluate schedule baselines and proposed schedule revisions for approval.
• Analyze schedule performance trends and provide recommendations for improvement.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 (Version 22 or higher).
• Experience in schedule integration and management across multiple large-scale projects.
• Strong understanding of project controls, planning methodologies, and schedule risk analysis.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and forecasting capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

• Experience of working with National Oil Companies or International Oil Companies will be an advantage
