Job summary

Almuftah Group in Qatar is seeking an experienced Mechanical Reliability/Rotating Equipment specialist to perform maintenance, troubleshooting and field coordination on pumps, turbines, compressors, gear boxes and related equipment.

The role requires a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with over 10 years in rotating machinery maintenance, familiarity with P&ID/ drawings and SAP. Strong English and computer skills are essential for site-based work in a refinery context.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10+ years in installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of rotating equipment.
• Petrochemical /Oil & Gas / Chemical industry experience.
• Ability to review mechanical drawings, P&ID and data sheets.
• Good command of English and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry-out maintenance of rotating equipment such as pumps, turbines, compressors and gear boxes.
• Troubleshoot mechanical problems in rotating equipment in refinery settings.
• Review drawings, P&ID and data sheets and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Perform field inspection and monitor clearances/tolerances with precision tools.
• Support root cause analysis and maintain RCA records.
• Monitor maintenance progress in the field and coordinate with reliability team.
• Assist in SAP work orders, spares tracking and reporting.
• Adhere to safety, environment and compliance procedures.
• Collect transformer oil samples and support additional technical tasks.
