Job summary

North Oil Company Qatar is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer responsible for delivering complex mechanical projects with minimal supervision. The role requires coordinating across disciplines, reviewing drawings and specs, and driving safety and quality in all tasks.

You will interface with E&C, field operations, and procurement, and contribute to technical bids and FAT activities. Fluent English and offshore experience are essential for this position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years' experience in oil & gas (onshore/offshore)
• Fluent in English with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work with minimal guidance and take initiative
• Experience interfacing with E&C disciplines, operations, procurement and external contractors
• Familiarity with mechanical rotating equipment, installations and HA ZOP studies

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering tasks with no direct reports and prioritize work
• Coordinate with E&C, Technical Authorities, Field Ops and Procurement
• Review and ensure compliance of drawings, data sheets, specs and FAT with vendors
• Prepare requisitions, budgets, and technical dossiers for mechanical activities
• Participate in technical reviews and provide recommendations to bid proposals
