Job summary

Parsons is seeking a Senior Materials Engineer to lead material review, inspection and testing on a major roads, infrastructure and drainage programme in Qatar. You will coordinate submittals, testing frequencies, FAT/SAT, and ensure conformity with contract requirements while liaising with laboratories, inspectors and contractors.

Applicants should have 14+ years post-graduate experience, including 7+ years in a similar role, with strong knowledge of Qatar Standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Materials Engineering.
14+ years post-graduate experience, including 7+ years in a similar materials role.
Middle East experience preferred, especially in Qatar.
Experience with roads, drainage and infrastructure projects.
Knowledge of Qatar Construction Specifications and QA processes.

Responsibilities

Lead review, approval, inspection and testing of construction materials.
Review submittals for compliance with vendor lists, specs, drawings and standards.
Coordinate sampling, testing and reporting; manage non-conformances.
Maintain material approval registers, testing schedules and QA documentation.
Provide specialist technical advice on material selection and tests.
Support project close-out with complete material test records.
