Job summary

Parsons in Doha, Qatar, is seeking a highly skilled Material Engineer to oversee all aspects of material quality control, testing, and assurance on large-scale infrastructure projects. You will collaborate with construction teams, manage submittals, approvals, testing, and sampling, and supervise QA/QC personnel to ensure compliance with project specifications and international standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
10 years total post-graduate experience, with at least 5 years in QA/QC on large-scale infrastructure projects.
Experience in sewerage, drainage, roads/highways construction with QA/QC.
Strong knowledge of international QA/QC standards and testing procedures.
Ability to lead QA/QC teams and supervise inspectors.
Ability to interpret complex contract docs and drawings.

Responsibilities

Review material submittals for compliance with project specs and standards.
Support construction team with material submissions, approvals, testing, and sampling.
Oversee QA/QC plans aligned with international standards and project requirements.
Inspect construction materials across sewerage, drainage, and road works.
Prepare technical reports on material testing and QA/QC activities.
Lead and motivate QA/QC team for high-quality outcomes.
Coordinate with stakeholders for clearances and approvals.
