Job summary

Q-Soft in Qatar seeks a Systems Architect specializing in Linux and Backup Services to lead design, operation, and modernization of enterprise infrastructure. Focus areas include RHEL, Commvault Backup & Archive, and cloud archive integration across on-prem, hybrid, and multi‑cloud environments.

You will guide backup architecture, DR planning, security, and governance while mentoring engineering teams and driving infrastructure modernization initiatives enterprise-wide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8–10 years of enterprise Linux systems architecture experience.
• 8–10 years of hands-on Commvault Backup, Recovery, and Archive experience.
• Strong expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Extensive experience with Commvault Cloud Archive solutions.
• Proven experience integrating Commvault Archive with Azure storage services.
• Proven experience integrating Commvault Archive with Google Cloud storage services.
• Strong understanding of backup architecture, recovery strategies, and data protection.
• Experience designing and implementing disaster recovery solutions.
• Knowledge of enterprise security controls, encryption, and compliance requirements.
• Strong troubleshooting and infrastructure architecture skills.
• Experience working within large‑scale enterprise data center environments.

Responsibilities

• Architect and manage enterprise Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.
• Design and operate Commvault Backup, Recovery, and Archive platforms.
• Develop and maintain backup and archive solutions across on-premises, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments.
• Design Commvault Cloud Archive integrations with Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
• Ensure backup platforms meet recovery point objectives (RPO) and recovery time objectives (RTO).
• Develop and maintain enterprise disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
• Implement Linux security hardening, encryption, access control, and compliance standards.
• Lead infrastructure modernization, migration, and platform optimization projects.
• Monitor backup performance, storage utilization, and platform health.Establish governance, standards, and best practices for Linux and backup services.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Mentor infrastructure and operations teams on Linux and backup technologies.
