Job summary

Sisco Jobs in Qatar is recruiting for a Lifting/Rigging Engineer on behalf of Danem Engineering Works W.L.L. You will plan and supervise safe lifting operations on site, ensure compliance with lift plans and safety requirements, and coordinate with crane operators and site teams.

The role requires 8–10 years of lifting and rigging experience, an engineering degree, and lifting/riging certifications. You will review drawings and method statements, select equipment, and perform load calculations

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in lifting and rigging engineering.
• Experience with lift planning, load calculations, equipment selection, and supervision.
• Engineering degree; lifting/rigging certifications preferred.
• Experience in industrial, construction, or engineering environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed lifting and rigging plans for heavy and critical lifting operations.
• Perform load calculations and assess crane capacity, lifting radius, rigging configuration, and equipment suitability.
• Select appropriate cranes, slings, shackles, spreader beams, lifting beams, and other rigging accessories.
• Review lifting drawings, method statements, risk assessments, and technical documentation before operations begin.
• Supervise lifting and rigging activities to ensure compliance with approved lift plans and applicable safety requirements.
• Inspect lifting equipment and accessories and verify valid certification before use.
• Coordinate with crane operators, riggers, supervisors, safety personnel, and site engineering teams during lifting activities.
• Identify lifting hazards and implement appropriate engineering and operational control measures.
