Job summary

Saipem is seeking a Lifting Specialist to lead offshore lifting and rigging activities, coordinating with engineering, marine and operations teams on a global project in Doha, Qatar. You will develop lift plans, validate calculations, and ensure compliance with standards and industry guidelines.

You should have a Bachelor's in Engineering, 8+ years in Oil & Gas lifting roles, and a LEEA certification or equivalent. English proficiency is mandatory, with travel to site locations as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• Certified Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA) or equivalent certification.
• 8+ years in Oil & Gas with lifting/rigging specialization.
• Experience in offshore lifting plans, rigging studies and critical lifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead offshore lifting and rigging activities, ensuring plans are properly approved and executed.
• Coordinate lifting interfaces across engineering, marine, vessel operations, and subcontractors.
• Develop lift plans for critical operations and validate calculations (DAF, load, CG, lift radius).
• Prepare lifting dossiers, reports, and close-out documentation while promoting HSE improvements.
