Job summary

Oryx University - in partnership with Liverpool John Moores University is seeking a Senior Lecturer / Lecturer to join the College of Computing and Data Science. The role involves teaching a range of modules on the BSc (Hons) Computer Science programme, developing materials and assessments, and updating modules in line with industry developments.

The successful candidate will act as a personal tutor, mentor students, and contribute to programme development, CPD offerings, and research activities

Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree required; PhD preferred with relevant industry experience.
• Excellent English communication, both written and verbal.
• Experience teaching at the tertiary level and mentoring students.
• Strong teaching materials development, assessment design and delivery.
• Proven leadership, motivation, and ability to inspire students in learning and research.

Responsibilities

• Teach a range of modules on the BSc (Hons) Computer Science programme.
• Develop teaching materials and assessments aligned with LJMU guidelines.
• Update and revise modules to reflect industry developments.
• Collaborate with industry advisory boards to enhance relevance.
• Act as personal tutor and mentor to students across programmes.
• Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate projects.
• Contribute to programme development and quality assurance processes.
• Deliver CPD and short courses and participate in committees.
