Job summary

BAE Systems Strategic Aerospace Services WLL in Doha, Qatar seeks a Senior IT/ICT Engineer with a strong background in designing, implementing, and managing data center, telecommunications, and ICT systems. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in IT/ICT engineering, with significant exposure to design and implementation in data center and telco environments.
• Proficiency in data center technologies (servers, storage, virtualization), telecommunications systems (WAN, SD-WAN, MPLS), and ICT platforms (UCaaS, enterprise applications).
• Strong hands-on experience with hybrid cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Expertise in networking protocols, infrastructure design, and network security solutions.
• Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform) and containerization platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Certifications in relevant domains (e.g., CCNP, VMware VCP, ITIL, or PMP) are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop IT/ICT solutions, including data center infrastructure, network architecture, and telecom systems.
• Create detailed blueprints, diagrams, and documentation for infrastructure.
• Lead end-to-end IT/ICT projects, including system integration, configuration, and testing.
• Oversee deployments in data centers and telecom environments, minimizing downtime.
• Provide technical leadership during rollouts, migrations, and upgrades.
• Architect and manage data center infrastructure with compute, storage, and network components.
• Design and implement telco solutions such as WAN, SD-WAN, MPLS.
• Develop enterprise ICT solutions and ensure integration between ICT and data center environments.
• Drive security, compliance, and resilience across IT/ICT systems.
• Mentor and train junior engineers.
