Job summary

Confidential Careers is seeking an Insurance Specialist to support and manage corporate and project-related insurance activities across multiple business units. The role covers insurance procurement, claims management, policy administration, risk assessment, and ensuring compliance with company standards and industry best practices.

The successful candidate will coordinate with insurers, brokers, and project teams, review contracts for insurance obligations, and support lender-driven projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of insurance experience in a specialized function.
• GCC experience preferred.
• Professional qualifications such as CII, CILA, III or equivalent insurance certifications desirable.
• Strong knowledge of insurance procurement, claims management, underwriting processes, and local insurance markets.

We are seeking a highly skilled Insurance Specialist to support and manage corporate and project-related insurance activities across multiple business units. The successful candidate will play a key role in insurance procurement, claims management, policy administration, risk assessment, and project insurance requirements while ensuring compliance with company standards and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily insurance operations across all business units in line with established policies and procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend appropriate insurance coverage for company assets, projects, and operational activities.
• Manage annual insurance renewals, policy amendments, additions, deletions, and policy administration activities.
• Coordinate insurance claims reporting and facilitate claim settlements with insurers, brokers, and loss adjusters.
• Prepare and maintain loss records, loss-ratio reports, and insurance performance analysis.
• Monitor underwriting requirements and ensure compliance with applicable insurance regulations and standards.
• Analyze insurance data and coverage effectiveness while identifying opportunities for cost optimization.
• Support the management of commercial and operational risks across projects and business functions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance companies, brokers, underwriters, and claims professionals.
• Review contracts, tender documents, and project agreements to assess insurance obligations and compliance requirements.
• Support lender-driven projects and contractual insurance obligations, including CTA, PPA, EPC, FA, CA, and related agreements.
• Review and coordinate insurance schedules for contracts and project documentation.
• Manage project insurance requirements including CAR/DSU, Marine DSU, SPPI, CPM, and other specialized insurance policies.
• Coordinate with brokers, consultants, and legal advisors regarding insurance matters and documentation.
• Maintain accurate and organized insurance records, documentation, and reporting systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5-7 years of insurance experience in a specialized or technical insurance function.
• GCC experience is preferred.
• Professional qualifications such as CII, CILA, III, or equivalent insurance certifications are highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of insurance procurement, claims management, underwriting processes, and local insurance markets.
• Experience working directly with insurers, underwriters, brokers, claims managers, and loss adjusters.
• Strong understanding of insurance laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• ERP knowledge, preferably SAP, will be an advantage.
• Experience supporting lender-driven projects and associated insurance requirements.
• Proven experience in project insurance programs, reinsurance placements, and complex commercial risks.
• Familiarity with construction, infrastructure, energy, or large-scale project insurance environments is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
