Job summary

Qatar Foundation is seeking a senior Corporate Insurance Manager to lead evaluation and management of the organization’s insurance program. The role requires strong leadership, risk management expertise and the ability to influence stakeholders.

You will report to the CFO, liaise with committees, provide training, and ensure robust reporting. Arabic is an advantage; FCII/ACII credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8–10 years in corporate insurance
• Experience in a supervisory role for at least 3 years
• FCII/ACII or equivalent qualifications advantageous
• Strong written communication and reporting skills
• Arabic language proficiency is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate Qatar Foundation's corporate insurance needs.
• Implement insurance reporting across the organization.
• Report to the C-Suite Audit Committee and Board as required.
• Advise business areas on minimizing risk exposure while maximizing control.
• Engage with insurance committees and seek approvals from authorities.
• Provide staff training on insurance activities and brief directors and senior management.
• Liaise with external providers to ensure excellent service and efficient processes.
• Explore self-insurance or captive options to reduce costs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the CFO.
• Undertake any other reasonable tasks by supervisor.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Manage analyze and evaluate QF s existing corporate insurance requirements.
• Implement appropriate insurance reporting across the organization.
• including reporting to the C-Suite Audit Committee and Board as required.
• Provide advisory services to all business areas on minimizing risk exposure while maximizing control effectiveness to protect QF s reputation.
• Manage engagement with relevant insurance committees and submit recommendations for approval to the appropriate authorities.
• Ensure appropriate training and skills development for all staff involved in insurance activities and provide awareness briefings for directors and senior management as required.
• Manage relationships with external insurance providers and advisors to ensure QF end users receive excellent service and that efficient processes are established between end users and insurance providers.
• Explore self-insurance options including captive insurance arrangements where appropriate to identify potential cost savings for QF.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time by the Chief Financial Officer.
• Undertake any other reasonable tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Bachelor s degree in a relevant field with 8 10 years of relevant full-time experience in corporate insurance or a related field, including a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of insurance programs, techniques, and products, with the ability to lead and influence stakeholders.
• Strong control-oriented approach.
• Experience in a comparable organization, with an understanding of how value is created for customers and stakeholders.
• Professional insurance or risk management qualifications, such as FCII, ACII, or equivalent certifications, are considered advantageous.
• Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to draft and edit a wide range of reports and business communications and articulate ideas clearly and concisely.
• Arabic language proficiency is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
