Job summary

Madre Integrated Engineering is seeking a veteran QA/QC Inspector with a strong offshore background to lead inspection activities for piping, vessels, and tanks in Qatar. The role requires verifying welding procedures, materials, and compliance with ASME/API/CSWIP standards.

You will oversee QA/QC systems, manage NCRs and corrective actions, and ensure documentation and traceability of certificates. Mentoring junior inspectors and coordinating with clients and QA/QC managers are essential parts

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• API 510, API 570, CSWIP 3.1/3.2 certifications.
• 10+ years QA/QC inspection experience, including offshore.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise inspection activities for piping, vessels, and tanks.
• Verify welding procedures, consumables, and materials per ASME, API, CSWIP.
• Oversee QA/QC systems and ensure compliance with project specs and codes.
• Identify non-conformances, issue NCRs, and monitor corrective actions.
• Prepare inspection reports, maintain QA/QC records and certificates traceability.

• Inspection Leadership : Lead and supervise inspection activities for piping, pressure vessels, and tanks.
• Welding & Materials Verification : Ensure welding procedures, consumables, and materials comply with ASME, API, and CSWIP standards.
• Quality Assurance : Oversee QA/QC systems, ensuring adherence to project specifications and international codes.
• NCR & Corrective Actions : Identify non-conformances, issue NCRs, and monitor corrective measures.
• Documentation & Reporting : Prepare inspection reports, maintain QA/QC records, and ensure traceability of certificates.
• Team Supervision : Mentor junior inspectors, coordinate with QA/QC managers, and liaise with clients.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Mandatory Certifications: API 510 (Pressure Vessels), API 570 (Piping), CSWIP 3.1/3.2 (Welding Inspection).
• Minimum 10+ years QA/QC inspection experience, with at least 5 years offshore.
• Strong knowledge of ASME, AWS, API, ISO codes.
• Expertise in inspection methodologies and fitness-for-service (FFS) analysis.
• Proficiency in NDT techniques (RT, UT, MT, PT).
• Strong leadership, communication, and reporting skills.
• Ability to manage inspection teams under tight turnaround schedules.
