Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE Officer) for Site Operations to ensure on-site compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations. The role focuses on risk management, training, and fostering a proactive safety culture supporting projects in Qatar.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field, 13+ years HSE experience (UAE site supervision preferred), and NEBOSH/IOSH certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
• 13+ years of HSE experience, with UAE site supervision preferred.
• Familiarity with UAE health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• NEBOSH/IOSH certification desirable.
• Strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies and procedures.
• Conduct site inspections and audits for HSE compliance.
• Identify hazards and implement risk mitigation measures.
• Provide training and guidance on HSE practices and emergency response.
• Prepare and maintain HSE documentation, including reports and investigations.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities and stakeholders on HSE matters.
• Assist in safety plan development and emergency response strategies.
• Promote a proactive HSE culture through training and communication.
