Job summary
A construction and engineering firm in Qatar is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to develop and implement health, safety, and environmental plans. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with local regulations and best practices, lead a team, and conduct risk assessments. With a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science and NEBOSH qualifications preferred, candidates should have 8-12 years of relevant experience. This role involves regular site inspections and training programs to promote a strong safety culture.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8–12 years of experience in HSE, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in construction / oil & gas / infrastructure projects preferred.
- GCC experience is an added advantage.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor project‑specific HSE plans and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, client requirements, and company HSE policies.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Lead investigations for accidents, incidents, and near misses.
- Conduct HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness programs.
- Monitor HSE performance metrics and prepare periodic reports.
