Job summary

Oryx University in Doha, Qatar, in partnership with Liverpool John Moores University, invites applications for Assistant / Associate Professor (Lecturer/Senior Lecturer) in the College of Business and Leadership.

You will contribute to the development and delivery of modules on the BA (Hons) Human Resource Management programme and collaborate with colleagues across organisational behaviour, industrial relations, and leadership.

Qualifications

• PhD in Human Resource Management or a relevant business subject.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
• Ambition and motivation to achieve academic research excellence.
• Proven ability to inspire and maximise students’ potential through trust, engagement, and leadership.
• Expertise in teaching techniques, pastoral care, mentoring, and assessments.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, fostering a culture of trust and mutual respect.
• Strong organisational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
• Self-motivation, enthusiasm, and an innovative mindset.
• Experience and/or qualifications in teaching at the tertiary level.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver modules on the BA (Hons) Human Resource Management programme.
• Contribute to academic leadership responsibilities including module and programme leadership.
• Engage in research leadership and mentoring within the College.
• Collaborate with colleagues across organisational behaviour, industrial relations, project management, and leadership.
