Job summary

Mackinnon Mackenzie & Co of Pakistan is seeking a senior Mechanical Engineer to lead garage operations in Qatar. You will perform vehicle assessments, inspections and repairs, prepare quotes, and manage client communications.

A strong background in mechanical engineering, hands-on maintenance, and leadership is required. Proficiency in English is a must, Arabic is a plus, with deep understanding of Qatar and GCC business culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 8 years of experience in similar roles in large companies.
• At least 3 years in positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities.
• Proficiency in English (must) and Arabic (plus).
• Knowledge of Qatar and GCC culture and working environment.
• Hands-on operational and implementation experience.
• Ability to work with key stakeholders, senior executives and external partners.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle assessments, routine inspections and repairs with precise diagnostics and accurate quotes.
• Maintain service logs and adhere to safety and equipment maintenance standards.
• Manage garage operations, liaise with clients to understand needs and communicate defects.
• Prepare quotes and work estimates to facilitate clear client communications.
• Inspect vehicles and machinery to identify issues and inform clients of potential problems.
• Maintain logs of all work performed for tracking and quality control.
