Job summary

Almuftah Group in Doha seeks an experienced Cost Estimator for interior fit-out projects. You will prepare cost plans, BOQs, and tender documents, coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and profitability.

The role requires strong analytical and negotiation skills, proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software, and at least 5 years of relevant experience in interior fit-outs. Fluency in English is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering with QS / CM focus.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in interior fit-out costing and planning.
• Desirable: cost estimation certifications.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Preparing accurate cost estimates for interior fit-out projects, ensuring competitive pricing and profitability. They will analyze project specifications, liaise with suppliers and subcontractors, and support the tendering process for commercial, residential, retail, and hospitality interior projects.

Duties and Essential Job Functions

• Plan and establish project cost estimates,BOQs (Bill of Quantities), and tender documents for interior fit-out projects.
• Provide effective cost estimation and ensure the company's profitability and market gain.
• Visit project sites and ensure that customer requirements are reviewed and understood in accordance with the project specifications and update his plan.
• Organizing bid, quotation documentation in a competitive reasonable cost to meet its customers' demand in the highest degree of excellence and quality satisfaction.
• Prepare reports detailing all of the costs going into a project.
• Input cost data into the company database and maintain to up to date
• Stay updated on market prices for materials, labor, and subcontractor services related to interior fit-outs.
• Reporting differences between estimated cost and actual cost.
• Generates post award project budget
• Provide post-tender analysis and cost breakdowns.
• Attend training and seminars to upgrade the knowledge.

Other Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve related procedures in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001 Standard.
• Proactively report any issues and problems related to costing, estimation and project management to the related Manager.
• Perform other related duties relevant to the position that may be assigned by the superior.

Job Specifications

Educational Qualification: Graduate of any four-year degree course preferably in Engineering-Quantity Surveying /Civil Engineering/ Construction Management.

Professional Experiences: With a minimum of 5 years' experience in fit-out work, those deal with estimation and planning

Licenses/Certifications: Desirable: Cost Estimation, RICS, or PMP.

Competencies:

• Knowledge about the process of work -BOQ preparation, cost control, and value engineering.
• Understanding of Tender submissions, pricing negotiations, and contract analysis.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software
