Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to lead the Quality Management System across roads and infrastructure projects in Qatar. You will implement, monitor, and continuously improve quality processes, audits, and KPI reporting to ensure contractual and technical standards are met.

You will coordinate with project teams, manage NCRs, drive corrective actions, and mentor staff while ensuring on-site quality control and compliance with GCC requirements.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of total postgraduate experience.
• 10+ years of QA/QC or quality management in infrastructure.
• Extensive GCC experience, preferably Qatar, with major roads projects.
• Proven QMS implementation, audits, NCR management, KPI reporting, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the Programme Quality Management System (QMS).
• Monitor design and construction to ensure compliance with specs and standards.
• Coordinate quality audits, site inspections, NCRs, and corrective actions.
• Analyse quality trends, root causes, and preventive measures.
• Maintain quality dashboards, reports, and presentations; report progress.
• Coordinate with departments and contractors to ensure quality procedures.
• Promote knowledge sharing and international best practices.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and training to staff.

Job Summary

The Senior Quality Engineer will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, technical specifications, and programme quality standards. The role involves overseeing quality assurance and control activities, conducting audits and inspections, monitoring performance indicators, and driving continuous improvement across roads and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the Programme Quality Management System (QMS) in coordination with PWA and relevant stakeholders.
• Monitor design and construction activities to ensure compliance with contract documents, technical specifications, and applicable quality standards.
• Coordinate quality audits, site inspections, non-conformance reporting, and timely closure of corrective and rectification works.
• Analyse quality trends, identify root causes, and recommend preventive measures and process improvements.
• Monitor programme KPIs and maintain quality dashboards, tracking spreadsheets, reports, and presentations.
• Coordinate with GEC departments, senior project managers, area teams, and contractors to ensure effective implementation of quality procedures and timely reporting.
• Promote knowledge management, lessons learned, and international best practices across the programme.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and training support to staff and project teams.
• Ensure consistent implementation of quality policies and procedures across roads and infrastructure projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Chartered status or professional registration is preferred.
• Minimum 20 years of total postgraduate experience.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in quality assurance, quality control, or quality management for infrastructure projects.
• Extensive GCC experience, preferably in Qatar, involving major roads and infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience in QMS implementation, quality audits, NCR management, KPI reporting, and continuous improvement.
