Job summary

AECOM in Doha, Qatar seeks a Senior Quality Engineer to lead the Quality Management System across roads and infrastructure projects. You will implement, monitor, and improve QMS, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and technical specs.

You will coordinate audits, site inspections, NCRs, and KPI reporting, mentor staff, and promote best practices across the programme. A strong civil engineering background and GCC experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Chartered status or professional registration is preferred.
• Minimum 20 years total postgraduate experience.
• Minimum 10 years relevant experience in QA/QC for infrastructure projects.
• Extensive GCC experience, preferably in Qatar, with major roads/infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience in QMS implementation, audits, NCR management, KPI reporting, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the Programme Quality Management System (QMS) in coordination with PWA and relevant stakeholders.
• Monitor design and construction activities to ensure compliance with contract documents, technical specifications, and quality standards.
• Coordinate quality audits, site inspections, non-conformance reporting, and timely closure of corrective and rectification works.
• Analyse quality trends, identify root causes, and recommend preventive measures and process improvements.
• Monitor programme KPIs and maintain quality dashboards, tracking spreadsheets, reports, and presentations.
• Coordinate with GEC departments, senior project managers, area teams, and contractors to ensure effective implementation of quality procedures and timely reporting.
• Promote knowledge management, lessons learned, and international best practices across the programme.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and training support to staff and project teams.
• Ensure consistent implementation of quality policies and procedures across roads and infrastructure projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Summary
