Job summary

QatarEnergy seeks an experienced Drilling Operations Engineer to provide technical leadership for planning, design and execution of drilling and workover operations in Qatar.

You will develop safe, efficient, and cost-effective drilling programs, support rig operations, manage risks, and ensure activities comply with company standards and HSE requirements.

Collaboration with stakeholders and contractors is essential, along with rigorous analysis to guide critical operational decisions.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of drilling operations engineering experience with an operating company.
• Expertise in well design, tubular design, completions, and wellbore construction.
• Proficient with drilling software such as Compass, Well Plan, Stress Check, or similar programs.
• Strong analytical decision-making with attention to detail.
• Energetic and committed to delivering top performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for planning, design and execution of drilling and workover operations.
• Develop safe, efficient, and cost-effective drilling programs and support rig operations.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and contractors to ensure compliance with HSE requirements and company standards.
