Job summary

Path2Success in Doha seeks an expert-level accountant to record and maintain books of accounts per company policies and standards. You will handle Qatar tax compliance, GTA filings, WHT returns, and GL reconciliations, ensuring timely financial processing across payroll, payables, and asset management.

The role requires strong knowledge of HRMS modules, payroll, and financial controls, with a focus on accuracy and regulatory adherence in a dynamic business environment.

Qualifications

• Expert-level recording and maintenance of books of accounts.
• Experience with Qatar tax compliance and GTA filings.
• Knowledge of GL, sub-ledgers, and HRMS modules.

Responsibilities

• Record and maintain books of accounts per company policies and standards.
• Handle Qatar tax compliance, corporate filings, and GTA portal submissions.
• File monthly WHT returns and payments (e.g., 5% on non-resident services).
• Manage tax registrations, notifications, and tax card renewals.
• Maintain compliance calendars to meet statutory deadlines.
• Prepare annual corporate income tax returns per GTA requirements.
• Process debit/credit notes to customers and suppliers timely.
• Make timely payments to suppliers; perform customer account reconciliations.
• Monitor money due to the company; periodical follow-up.
• Record transactions in General Ledger and sub-ledgers; use HRMS, Fixed Assets, etc.
• Capex recording, asset purchases, disposals, transfers, and write-offs in Fixed Assets.
• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations; support credit control policy.
• Perform general ledger and sub-ledger reconciliations monthly.
• Assist in inventory verification, cash, and fixed assets.
• Assist in implementing finance policies and procedures.
• Manage petty cash where applicable.
• Other tasks assigned by supervisor related to the function.
