Job summary

American School of Doha seeks a Secondary Instructional Coach to strengthen instructional practice across Grades 6-12. The role partners with teachers, divisional leaders, and curriculum coordinators to improve curriculum implementation and evidence-informed instruction.

The coach designs professional learning, supports onboarding, and helps build capacity for collaborative planning and PLCs. This is a non-supervisory role emphasizing trust, collaboration, and equity in learning.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction or related field.
• Minimum of five years of successful secondary classroom teaching experience.
• Demonstrated experience as an Instructional Coach, including facilitating coaching cycles.
• Strong understanding of UDL, UbD, MTSS, and formative assessment.
• Experience facilitating PLCs and using student learning evidence.
• Knowledge of standards-based curriculum and assessment and collaborative unit planning.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with professional relationships.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate instructional coaching cycles including co-planning, modeling, co-teaching, observation, feedback, and reflection.
• Partner with leadership to advance teaching and learning priorities.
• Support UDL and UbD implementation to strengthen access and engagement.
• Collaborate on curriculum development and UbD-based refinement.
• Facilitate data dialogues to inform instructional decisions within MTSS.
• Support curriculum documentation and reflective planning using Atlas.
