Job summary

IRM Energy & Technology in Doha, Qatar, is seeking a Safety / HSE professional to develop preventive maintenance programs, conduct inspections, and lead SEQ training and compliance efforts. The role involves coordinating emergency response and investigations while ensuring availability of safety equipment and protective gear.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering/Science with at least 5 years of varied Safety or HSE experience, and offers strong English

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Science, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years’ varied experience in Safety or HSE.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for safety equipment and facilities.
• Ensure regular inspection, testing and maintenance of fixed and portable equipment.
• Assist in developing and delivering SEQ training programs.
• Monitor maintenance and construction activities under permit-to-work systems for SEQ compliance.
• Support emergency response, incident investigations and reporting.
• Direct safety, environment and quality technicians to ensure compliance with required standards.
• Ensure adequate availability of safety equipment, emergency supplies and protective clothing.
• Develop and implement safety programs, recommend improvements and maintain safety documentation.
