Job summary

IRM Energy & Technology in Qatar seeks a Sr. Control Engineer to advise and support control engineering during EPC and Startup phases, ensuring safety, operability, reliability, and maintainability throughout the facility lifecycle.

You will lead design, commissioning, start-up activities, troubleshoot, manage MOC, supervise contractors, and guide junior engineers to uphold system integrity and cyber security programs while coordinating with operations and maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• English language proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Provide Control Engineering support for design, commissioning, start-up, troubleshooting, warranty claims and MOC.
• Support Control System surveillance, reliability, availability and cyber security programs.
• Support control equipment integrity programs.
• Provide technical input to other disciplines and functions.
• Supervise contractors, consultants and service providers.
• Guide junior engineers on integrity and reliability systems.
• Support project tie-ins and system handover.
• Maintain issue registers and address critical technology risks.
• Support high-risk commissioning, system tuning and Operations/Maintenance advisory.
