Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Customer Application Engineer for Substation Automation in Doha, Qatar, to drive proposals that meet client needs and comply with standards. You will lead bid governance, analyze requests, and define optimized technical solutions in collaboration with internal teams and partners.

The role focuses on offering DS Agile / G500/ GPG/ AAA portfolio solutions, with packaging for Telecom and M&D when needed, and travel up to 10-15% depending on business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of tendering, commercial, engineering or relevant functions.
• Comprehensive knowledge of grid automation, protection and DCS/SCS.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Analyze RFQs and define proposals for grid automation, protection and DCS/SCS.
• Manage complete bid process and ensure compliance with tender requirements.
• Develop cost models, assess risks and optimize scope for profitable bids.
• Support order booking and maintain budget margins.
• Collaborate with Sales and external partners to present solutions.
