Job summary

Qatar Airways are seeking a Recruitment Specialist to join the Flight Operations - Flight Deck Crew Recruitment & Selection team in Doha, Qatar. You will manage a pipeline of openings and collaborate with hiring managers to ensure timely, high-quality hires.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree and has recruitment experience, preferably in volume hiring, with proven sourcing capability and strong stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a defined number of open positions by coordinating with the Flight Deck Recruitment team.
• Maintain relationships with hiring managers and coach them through the process.
• Present a candidate pipeline, assessing competence, fit and motivation.
• Support and advertise campaigns, interview candidates per dept. processes.
• Audit candidates by tracking databases and weekly reports.
• Inform candidates via ATS/Email, ensuring policy changes are followed.
• Ensure compliance with Qatar Airways policies and maintain data in systems.

About the role

Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Flight Operations - Flight Deck Crew Recruitment & Selection team as a Recruitment Specialist to be based in Doha, Qatar.

Specific Responsibilities For The Role Include

• Responsible for the delivery of an assigned number of open positions by managing interfaces with the rest of the Flight Deck Pilot Recruitment and Selection team to ensure recruitment outcomes and quality of hire, time to hire and cost of hire standards are met.
• Maintain close relationship with the hiring managers, coach them through the recruitment process, and provide assistance when needed to ensure process is maintained.
• Present a pipeline/talent pool of candidates, by assessing candidates’ competence, cultural fit and motivation, to meet the business’ resourcing plan for the financial year.
• Effectively support, organise and advertise campaigns, interview candidates, by following department processes and best practices to ensure success of campaigns.
• Perform regular auditing of all candidates by tracking databases and checking weekly reports to ensure department procedures are followed
• Responsible for the information and communication delivered to Flight Deck Candidates via our Applicant Tracking system and Email to ensure that the information is in accordance with all the changes in policies and procedures.
• Champion compliance with Qatar Airways group policies and procedures throughout the recruitment lifecycle, including ensuring comprehensive and accurate information is maintained in key systems (e.g. ATS) to consistent standards across the team.

Qualification

The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

• Relevant College or University qualifications to a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Previous experience in recruitment, preferably volume recruitment.
• Demonstrable clear track record of proactively sourcing a significant number of hires using market research techniques.
• Ability to positively influence senior levels, and to develop valued relationships with Managers and Candidates alike.
• Politically savvy, flexible and with a strong drive to achieve desired outcomes in an environment of constant change, competing priorities and objectives.
• Ability to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of current Organization’s core business, organization, strategic direction, challenges and aspirations.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft outlook, excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, oracle and ATS.
• Highly developed planning and organisational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
