Overview

Our client is in a joint venture in Qatar with some of the world's largest global contracting firms, placing them at the forefront of several large‑scale developments in the country. They have recently been awarded framework contracts for multi‑million dollar projects in the rail & metro sector. Alongside their international partners, the client will develop underground rail and metro stations across Doha.

Responsibilities

As Engineering Manager you will lead the engineering team responsible for:

• Production of all shop drawings and construction details.
• Submittals of materials, samples, and drawings ensuring conformance with contract specifications and drawings and timely delivery.
• Identifying discrepancies in contract specifications and and escalating them to the supervision consultant for resolution.
• Working with the project manager to deliver the project on time, within budget, and to specification.

Qualifications

• A HNC or degree in Construction or Engineering.
• 10 years of experience, including work on rail – underground – subway or metro projects.
• Experience with a recognised main contractor or sub‑contractor.
• Experience with Primavera is ideal.
• Current role as Engineering Manager, Design Manager, or Project Manager.
