Job summary

WSP Qatar is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage costs for landmark infrastructure projects in Doha. You will lead cost planning, tender evaluation, and contract administration under FIDIC and Ashghal formats.

With 10+ years in quantity surveying, you will prepare interim payments, take-offs, and cost reports while liaising with clients and contractors to ensure robust commercial governance. Local experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of quantity surveying experience on infrastructure or highway projects.
• Experience with Ashghal projects is strongly preferred.
• Sound knowledge of FIDIC contracts and cost control procedures.
• Proficient in CostX, CANDY, and MS Excel.
• Membership in a recognized professional body (e.g., MRICS) is an advantage.
• MMUP Registered

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans across all project phases.
• Assist in the preparation and evaluation of BoQs, pricing schedules, and tender documentation.
• Support contract administration activities in line with FIDIC and Ashghal contract formats.
• Perform quantity take-offs and verify contractor measurements and valuations.
• Prepare interim payment applications and support in certifying contractor payments.
• Track and manage project variations, changes, and claims.
• Provide support in claims assessment and dispute resolution processes.
• Maintain cost control systems and prepare regular commercial reports.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams on all commercial matters.
• Ensure proper documentation, cost records, and contract correspondence are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
