Job summary

NES Fircroft is hiring a Head of Quality for Qatar's oil & gas sector. You will lead QA/QC across FEED through Start-Up, ensure QMS compliance, and drive audits with EPC contractors, vendors, and yards. Strong leadership and international standards knowledge are essential.

Role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or sciences, 10+ years in QA in oil & gas, and 2+ years in supervision. Onshore, long-term contract in Doha/Ras Laffan with a focus on quality country-wide standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Sciences.
• Minimum 10 years of quality experience in Oil & Gas.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory/lead capacity.
• Proven experience with EPC contractors, vendors, and service companies.
• Strong QA/QC knowledge and international standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all project Quality activities across the project lifecycle.
• Implement and maintain the Project Quality Management System.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure timely submission of quality documentation.
• Ensure compliance with contractual quality requirements, ITPs, and vendor surveillance procedures.
• Plan and lead internal and external audits involving EPC contractors, vendors, and fabrication yards.
• Manage NCRs, deviations, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions.
• Provide technical quality support during tendering and bid evaluation activities.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and quality performance reporting.
• Mentor and manage project quality personnel and ensure adequate inspection coverage and competency.
• Ensure compliance with international standards including ISO 9001, API, ASME, ASTM, AWS, IEC, and related industry requirements.

We are seeking an experienced Head of Quality to lead and oversee all Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities for major Oil & Gas projects in Qatar. The successful candidate will ensure full compliance with project quality requirements throughout all phases, from FEED, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, and Start-Up.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Sciences.

Experience

• Minimum 10 years of Quality experience within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Minimum 2 years in a supervisory, lead, or management capacity.
• Proven experience with Oil & Gas operators, EPC contractors, vendors, and service companies.
• Strong experience managing Quality requirements during FEED, Detailed Design, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, and Start-Up phases.
• Extensive knowledge of QA/QC systems, Quality Management Systems, and international industry standards.
