Job summary

Avanceon Automation & Control Qatar is seeking a QA/QC PLC Automation Technician to supervise PLC panel assemblies, perform quality checks, and ensure compliance with design and safety standards in Doha.

The role requires 7-8 years in QA/QC within automation or panel assembly, with strong wiring, schematic interpretation, and documentation skills. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential for project success.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation, or related technical field.
• 7-8 years of hands-on QA/QC experience in automation, PLC panel assembly, or system integrator settings.
• Strong knowledge of PLC wiring techniques, industrial automation standards, and schematic interpretation.
• Proficient in reading and analyzing design drawings, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Preferred: Valid Qatar Visa with NOC and driving license.

Responsibilities

• Supervise PLC panel assembly activities to ensure compliance with design drawings and specifications.
• Perform QA/QC inspections, including wiring accuracy, functionality tests, and documentation reviews.
• Conduct PLC panel power-up, IO checkout, and HMI tests, supporting FAT with internal teams and clients.
• Collaborate with design teams on red markups and resolve discrepancies in drawings or wiring.
• Prepare progress and quality reports, highlighting metrics and improvement opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with QCS2014 and safety protocols in all work.
• Maintain documentation of inspections, test procedures, and findings.

Role Overview:

As a QA/QC PLC Automation Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our PLC panel assemblies meet the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for supervising assembly works, performing quality checks, and ensuring strict adherence to design and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise PLC panel assembly activities to ensure compliance with design drawings and technical specifications.
• Conduct thorough QA/QC inspections, including wiring accuracy, functionality tests, and documentation reviews.
• Perform PLC panel power‑up, IO checkout, logic/HMI internal testing, and support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) both internally and with clients.
• Collaborate with the design team for red markups and resolve any discrepancies in drawings or wiring.
• Prepare detailed progress and quality reports, highlighting key metrics and improvement areas.
• Ensure all work complies with QCS2014 and established safety protocols.
• Maintain proper documentation of all inspections, test procedures, and findings.
