Job summary

QAFCO is seeking a Senior Process Safety professional to assist the Head of Safety and Loss Prevention Senior Engineer in implementing the Process Safety Management System. You will support risk studies for projects and operations, facilitate PHA studies (HAZOP, SIL, QRA, LOPA, FMEA, MHA/DHA), and contribute to dispersion and safety case studies.

The role requires strong knowledge of process safety codes, standards, and practical application of engineering principles within the fertilizer,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Chemical)
• Certifications in process safety are desirable
• Strong exposure to petroleum/chemical plant safety practices

Responsibilities

• Support Head of Safety in implementing Process Safety Management (PSM)
• Lead or participate in PHA studies (HAZOP, SIL, QRA, LOPA) and related risk analyses
• Develop process safety specifications and standards for projects and assets
• Coordinate safety campaigns and monitor leading indicators and KPI reports
