Job summary

QatarEnergy is seeking a senior engineer with extensive experience in refinery and oil movement operations. The role focuses on process safety, quality control, loss prevention, and ensuring safe, efficient storage and export of crude oil, naphtha and condensate.

You will also lead project interfaces with engineering teams and external consultants throughout full project lifecycles.

Qualifications

• 10-12 years of experience in plants and process design in refinery/oil processing plants.
• Minimum of 6 years in a senior supervisory/engineering/technical services role.
• Deep experience with process simulation tools (Provision, Hysys, Pro-Il) and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to Oil Movement and Tank Farm operations ensuring safety, quality control, loss prevention, and reliable exporting/ movement of crude oil and related products.
• Coordinate project upgrades, modifications, or new systems in Oil Movement & Tank Farm facilities; interface with Engineering/consultants/contractors through all project phases from RFES to commissioning.

Job description

Primary Purpose of the Job

• Provides technical support services to Oil Movement and Tank Farm Operations encompass of Process Safety, Quality Control, Loss Prevention and lead in process trouble shooting to ensure safe, efficient and reliable storage and timely export / oil movement operation of Crude oil, Naphtha and Condensate through proper and effective utilization of existing facilities.
• Coordinates the implementation of projects relating to upgrade, modifications or new system in Oil Movement & Tank Farm facilities, interfaces with Engineering / consultants / contractors and relevant QP departments during all projects phases from RFES, ECS, SOR, PIN, FEED, EPIC up to commissioning and handover of projects.

Required Experience and Skills

• 10-12 years experience in plants and process design in Refinery or Oil processing plants including a minimum of 6 years in a Senior Supervisory position/engineering/technical services capacity.
• In depth experience in the use of computer simulation packages such Provision, Hysys & Pro-Il, and other engineering design packages together with spreadsheets such as Excel.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Chemical engineering or equivalent plus formal training in process simulation/ computer operations and member of chartered membership of professional Institute is preferred. High degree of fluency in both written and oral English.
