Job summary

QatarEnergy is seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to provide technical support for Oil Movement and Tank Farm operations in Doha. You will lead troubleshooting, ensure safe, efficient storage, and oversee export of crude oil, naphtha and condensate through existing facilities.

You will coordinate upgrades and new system implementations with engineering consultants and contractors throughout all project phases.

Qualifications

• 10-12 years of experience in plants and process design in refinery or oil processing plants.
• Minimum 6 years in a senior supervisory/engineering technical services role.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for Oil Movement and Tank Farm operations; lead process troubleshooting for safe, efficient storage and export of crude oil, naphtha, and condensate.
• Coordinate project upgrades/modifications/new systems; interface with consultants, contractors and QP departments through all project phases from RFES to commissioning.
• Oversee implementation and handover of projects, ensuring alignment with process safety, quality control and loss prevention standards.

Job description

Primary Purpose of the Job

Provides technical support services to Oil Movement and Tank Farm Operations encompass of Process Safety Quality Control Loss Prevention and lead in process trouble shooting to ensure safe efficient and reliable storage and timely export oil movement operation of Crude oil Naphtha and Condensate through proper and effective utilization of existing facilities Coordinates the implementation of projects relating to upgrade modifications or new system in Oil Movement amp Tank Farm facilities interfaces with Engineering consultants contractors and relevant QP departments during all projects phases from RFES ECS SOR PIN FEED EPIC up to commissioning and handover of projects

Required Experience and Skills

• 10-12 years experience in plants and process design in Refinery or Oil processing plants including a minimum of 6 years in a Senior Supervisory position engineering technical services capacity
• In depth experience in the use of computer simulation packages such Provision Hysys amp Pro-Il and other engineering design packages together with spreadsheets such as Excel
• High degree of fluency in both written and oral English

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Chemical engineering or equivalent plus formal training in process simulation/ computer operations and member of chartered membership of professional Institute is preferred.
