Job summary

Qatar’s state owned energy corporation is seeking a senior role in Oil Movement and Tank Farm Operations to ensure safe storage and timely crude export movements. The incumbent will lead process troubleshooting, coordinate upgrades or new systems, and interface with engineering and external consultants through all project phases.

The role requires 10–12 years in refinery/oil processing design, a Bachelor in Chemical Engineering, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering; formal training in process simulation/computer operations preferred.
• Member of chartered professional institute preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead process troubleshooting to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable storage and timely export/oil movement operations.

Job description

The role provides technical support services to Oil Movement and Tank Farm Operations, encompassing Process Safety, Quality Control, and Loss Prevention. The incumbent ensures safe, efficient, and reliable storage and timely export/oil movement operations of Crude oil, Naphtha, and Condensate through proper and effective utilization of existing facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead process troubleshooting to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable storage and timely export/oil movement operations.
• Coordinate the implementation of projects relating to upgrades, modifications, or new systems in Oil Movement & Tank Farm facilities.
• Interface with Engineering, consultants, contractors, and relevant QP departments during all project phases from RFES, ECS, SOR, PIN, FEED, EPIC up to commissioning and handover of projects.

Experience Required:

• 10-12 years experience in plants and process design in Refinery or Oil processing plants.
• Minimum of 6 years in a Senior Supervisory position/engineering/technical services capacity.

Education Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree in Chemical engineering or equivalent plus formal training in process simulation/ computer operations and member of chartered membership of professional Institute is preferred.

Skills Required:

• In depth experience in the use of computer simulation packages such Provision, Hysys & Pro-Il
• Spreadsheets such as Excel

Languages:

High degree of fluency in both written and oral English.
