Job summary

Mekdam Technical Services seeks a Planning Engineer – Mechanical to supervise planning and scheduling of mechanical maintenance activities across rotating and static equipment, piping, and plant systems. You will coordinate with operations, reliability, engineering, and HSE to ensure safe, on-time delivery within schedule and budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; planning engineer certification preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in maintenance planning within Oil & Gas, preferably mechanical maintenance.
• Proven experience in mechanical maintenance contract management and contractor management.
• Strong site-based mechanical maintenance experience, including supervision, field execution, shutdowns, turnarounds, and major maintenance activities.
• Experience in preparing SOWs, technical specifications, BOQs/MTOs, cost estimates, tender documents, and technical bid evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise senior planners and cross-functional planning teams.
• Lead planning of mechanical maintenance activities for rotating and static equipment, piping, valves, pumps, and other plant equipment.
• Develop detailed maintenance plans, job plans, work packs, schedules, and resource requirements.
• Coordinate daily and weekly mechanical maintenance activities with contractors.
• Monitor contractor performance against scope, schedule, manpower, productivity, quality, and HSE.
