Job summary

Mekdam Technical Services is seeking an Electrical Planner in Qatar to plan, coordinate, and support electrical maintenance activities. You will contribute to shutdowns, turnarounds, and major projects while ensuring reliability and compliance with company standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of field experience in electrical systems maintenance.
• Minimum 3 years in maintenance planning in petrochemical or process industries.
• Knowledge of electrical maintenance tools, equipment and testing instruments.
• Familiarity with international codes and standards for electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed work orders with material, parts, and resources.
• Coordinate weekly maintenance plans and schedules.
• Review work requests in the maintenance system for prioritization.
• Identify spare parts and ensure availability for jobs.
• Prepare scope of work and technical docs for outsourcing.
• Evaluate contractor bids and participate in technical discussions.
• Maintain electrical equipment records and maintenance history.
• Plan major overhauls, shutdowns and turnaround activities.
• Coordinate manpower, parts and equipment with other teams.
• Develop preventive maintenance plans and schedules.
• Ensure compliance with QHSE requirements.
