Swan Global seeks an experienced piping inspector for Qatar projects with on/offshore rotations. The assignment covers 28 days on / 28 days off, with a minimum duration of 1 year. You will oversee inspection, testing, and compliance to project specs and international standards.
The role requires 15+ years in piping inspection within oil & gas, petrochemical, or refineries, CSWIP 3.1/3.2, conventional NDT certs, and fluent English for reporting and coordination.
Location: Qatar (Onshore/Offshore as per project requirements)
Project Duration: Minimum 1 year (extendable based on performance and project needs)
Rotation: 28 days on / 28 days off (or as per project policy)
Conduct inspection and surveillance of piping fabrication, erection, and testing activities.
Ensure all piping works comply with project specifications, QA/QC procedures, and international standards.
Monitor welding, fit-up, hydrotesting, painting, and final reinstatement activities.
Review piping isometrics, material test certificates, and welding records.
Verify that consumables, materials, and equipment conform to specifications.
Report deviations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Maintain daily inspection logs, prepare reports, and coordinate with construction/QA-QC teams.
Minimum 15 years of experience in piping inspection within oil & gas, petrochemical, or refinery projects.
Strong knowledge of ASME, API, ASTM, and relevant piping codes & standards.
Mandatory Certifications:
CSWIP 3.1 / 3.2 (Welding Inspector Piping)
Certification in Conventional NDT Methods (RT, UT, MT, PT).
Demonstrated experience in piping fabrication, erection, and pressure testing.
Fluent in English with strong reporting and communication skills.
API 570 (Piping Inspector).
PCN/ASNT NDT Certificates (e.g., PAUT, TOFD).
Offshore safety certifications (Valid Offshore Medical, BOSIET/TBOSIET, H2S).
