Responsibilities

• Source and procure construction materials, equipment, tools, machinery, and operational supplies.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from multiple suppliers and vendors.
• Prepare RFQs, purchase orders, and procurement documentation.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contract conditions with suppliers.
• Ensure purchases meet project specifications, quality standards, and budget requirements.
• Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supplier performance.
• Develop and maintain a reliable supplier database.
• Conduct supplier evaluations and performance assessments.
• Build strong relationships with manufacturers, distributors, and service providers.
• Identify alternative suppliers to mitigate procurement risks.
• Resolve supplier-related issues regarding quality, delivery, and invoicing.
• Coordinate procurement activities with project managers, site engineers, and quantity surveyors.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites.
• Monitor material requirements based on project schedules and construction progress.
• Track long-lead items and ensure procurement deadlines are met.
• Coordinate mobilisation and procurement requirements for new projects.
