Job summary

GSO-Qatar is seeking a full-time Millwright Technician based in Qatar to install, align and inspect mechanical equipment such as pumps and rotating machinery on oil & gas facilities, following project procedures aligned with QatarEnergy standards.

The role requires reading drawings, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and coordinating with multi-disciplinary site teams to ensure safe, reliable operations in live and construction environments, with adherence to HSE requirements and toolbox talks.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in equipment maintenance and installation of mechanical and rotating machinery in industrial or Oil & Gas environments.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and maintenance procedures.
• Familiarity with permit-to-work systems and site HSE standards.
• 5–7 years working experience in EPC or Oil & Gas projects, preferably in QatarEnergy-aligned environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, align and inspect mechanical equipment and machinery used in Oil & Gas facilities (pumps, compressors, conveyors, rotating equipment).
• Execute mechanical adjustments and alignments; document activities per project procedures.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues; interpret drawings and manuals; support safe and efficient operations with site teams.
• Ensure adherence to HSE requirements and participate in toolbox talks while contributing to continuous improvement.
