Job summary
Swan Global W.L.L. is recruiting an NDT Technician to operate AUT and camera/laser scanning systems on offshore pipeline projects in Qatar. The role focuses on inspecting girth welds and supporting QC data acquisition on a vessel, with training provided on the specific AUT system.
Applicants should have solid NDT inspection fundamentals and hands-on experience with camera, laser, or scanning equipment in industrial or pipeline settings, with offshore experience preferred.
Qualifications
- NDT/inspection experience in industrial, pipeline, or O&G environments.
- Experience operating camera, laser or scanning equipment in inspection contexts.
- Ability to follow inspection procedures and record data accurately.
- Methodical and detail-oriented in equipment operation and data capture.
Responsibilities
- Operate AUT or laser scan systems on pipeline welds following client training.
- Perform circumferential weld scanning and monitor data in real time.
- Flag indications and liaise with Level II/III NDE examiners.
- Maintain scanning equipment, calibration blocks and accessories.
- Complete weld inspection records and data sheets per ITP.
- Support repair and re-inspection workflows with welding/QC teams.
- Adhere to offshore HSE, PTW procedures and site safety standards.
