Job summary

Qatar Petroleum (QatarEnergy) is seeking an experienced Offshore DCS Specialist to monitor and control complex DCS-based production offshore. The role emphasizes safety, precise telemetry interpretation, and responsive alarm handling in a live gas environment.

Candidates must hold OPITO BOSIET, OGUK medical fitness, and H2S awareness certificates with at least 5 years of field DCS experience. Rotational schedule includes 28/28 format with comprehensive offshore housing and health benefits.

Qualifications

• OPITO BOSIET offshore survival credentials (valid)
• H2S (Hydrogen Sulfide) awareness certification
• 5+ years of field experience operating complex Distributed Control Systems (DCS) offshore
• Active OGUK offshore medical fitness certificate
• Ability to read live telemetry and P&ID documentation

Responsibilities

• Monitor and regulate offshore production equipment via DCS to optimize daily gas output
• Troubleshoot critical alarms and initiate emergency platform shutdowns during gas leaks
• Manage and authorize the Permit to Work (PTW) system and enforce LOTO procedures for maintenance crews
