Job summary

Saipem is seeking an experienced Lifting Specialist in Doha, Qatar, to lead offshore lifting and rigging activities. You will develop detailed lift plans and validate critical lift calculations, ensuring compliance with IMCA, IOGP, and project specs.

English proficiency is mandatory, with extensive offshore exposure and multinational collaboration. The role offers a permanent project-based contract, 45-hour workweeks, and a comprehensive corporate benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• Certified Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA) or an approved equivalent certification.
• Minimum 8 years of Oil & Gas industry experience with lifting/rigging expertise.
• Proficient in English; strong technical reporting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for offshore lifting and rigging activities.
• Coordinate lifting plans, rigging arrangements, lift studies and procedures.
• Review lifting calculations: DAF, center of gravity, lift radius, load distribution.
• Verify arrangements with wire ropes, shackles, hooks, slings, spreader beams, and lifting frames.
• Support offshore transportation, installation, recovery, and subsea construction campaigns.
• Participate in lift risk assessments, toolbox talks, SIMOPS, and operational readiness.
