Job summary

Lanco Group is seeking a Lifting Supervisor for a 3-month renewable assignment based in Doha, Qatar. The role requires extensive rigging and lifting expertise on heavy industrial or power plant projects, with hands-on supervision of rigging crews during lifts and crane operations.

Candidates must have strong knowledge of lift plans, load calculations and risk assessments, plus proficiency in inspecting lifting gear and ensuring PTW compliance. Immediate start and QID eligibility are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in rigging and lifting on heavy industrial or power plant projects.
• Experience with crane erection and heavy equipment lifting at power facilities.
• Ability to supervise rigging crews during lifting and crane operations.
• Strong knowledge of lift plans, load calculations and risk assessments.
• Proficient inspection of lifting gear: slings, shackles, hooks, and rigging accessories.
• Familiar with permit-to-work (PTW) systems on industrial sites.
• Compliance with LEEA / LOLER standards.
• LEEA / TUV / Bureau Veritas Rigging/Lifting Supervisor certificate — mandatory (minimum 5-day course).
• Immediate joiners with a valid QID preferred.
